Greg Berg.

Greg Berg is one of my craziest friends. I’m using the word crazy in the literal sense, in the way you might describe an insane person. He’s insane in a good way, like Jonathan Winters, but crazy none the less. He’s also one of my closest friends. He’s always calling me from L.A. and leaving messages on my voicemail as Gilbert Gottfried. The only thing is, there’s no way to tell the difference between Greg’s voice and the real voice of Gilbert. They sound exactly one in the same. It’s scary. Greg has made a career of sounding exactly like other people, animals, things, and objects. He was the voice of Baby Fozzie on the classic Muppet Babies cartoon. He was Donatello on the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles. He was Huckleberry Hound on the old Yo Yogi show. Lately, along with TV and movies his voice has been appearing in video games. If you ever kill a zombie in a first person shooter, it could very well be Greg moaning and screaming in agony.

I took this picture while on a visit to my parents’ house in North Hollywood. He’s standing in what used to be my bedroom with his head nestled into the leaves of a hanging potted plastic plant.

Frenchie On Thanksgiving Night (Portrait Of A Pup).

This is the first year in many that I haven’t spent Thanksgiving with my Mother. She and my stepfather Charlie were both down with a cold and didn’t want to get anybody else sick. Mary and I ended up spending the night with my brother and his girlfriend Leslie, and Leslie’s daughter Matilda. There were also about half a dozen others there who had somehow been orphaned on Thanksgiving night. The dinner was amazing and the company was even better. Matilda’s dog Frenchie constantly ran around all night like a social butterfly, getting attention from everybody. I figured it would be impossible to get her to sit still enough for a photo, but once I took the camera out, she stopped and posed for me.

Dog Car Afternoon.

There was a dog in the backseat who started barking loudly out the window when I snapped this pick. You can kind of see him behind the drivers seat. He apparently didn’t appreciate the Paparazzi.
